I was sitting in a coffee shop with a dear friend the other day. We were chatting about life, reflecting on the year, connecting on intentions for the next. Of all the things, I mean all the things that life has brought, this past year, this past decade, one aspect that strings through each and every reality, is the diving deep into understanding the WHY behind the very reality. Every aspect of my life, has a why behind my decision, my action, my response.
With taking space away from my business this year to welcome our dear little lady into the world has given a whole new meaning, a whole new understanding to my WHY behind documenting such magical souls, couples and families such as this one. You see, back in the day, when I lived in Long Beach, during and after college, the adorable parents you see here, were a huge part of my reality. Such beautiful, sincere, light-hearted souls. Over the years, we’ve stayed connected and just recently they welcomed sweet little Luna into the world.

​Shortly after, she reached out for a lifestyle type of newborn session and my goodness, did my heart sing when I heard from her. It was the ultimate reminder of the power of connection, of the power of living with purpose, living intentionally and intertwining with those who do the same. While documenting this sweet family in one of my new favorite locations, the light, truly brought to life the magic that was present as this adorable family truly radiates a sincere love, a peaceful presence, and a calm knowingness. As we were getting ready to leave, she gave me one of the nicest compliments in reflecting on my business - the professionalism of my website, the thoroughness of my emails, and commenting on my “style.” This truly made my heart sing as each and everyone of these aspects has a very intentional WHY behind it. Thank you Nova, Billy and Luna for being such a beautiful light in this world and allowing me to share and document your family!
