“In the infinity of life where I am, all is perfect, whole and complete.”
As I saged today, all I could do was repeat those words. All I could do was reflect on the blessings, abundance, gifts that life has brought. All I could do was feel the insanely intentional, epic, joyous and oh so very fun wedding that was this past Saturday. Truly, a highlight of my career. Brin and Parth, this couple, their wedding, the love that they share. Oh, is it what I dream of for wedding days. A day, where not only did two souls intertwine, two cultures, love for their cultures, their people, truly connected. A synergy, like I’ve never witnessed. Parth, being from India. Brin (Brindusa) from Romania. The day before, celebrations had commenced. Henna was applied. Small bracelets were tied. The afternoon of the wedding day, was spent celebrating with traditions, sacred to India. The full ensemble, first looks, a baraat where all the grooms family danced in the street as they made their way to the ceremony site where they met the brides family, prayers took place, the stunning bride walked down the aisle, more prayers were shared, more blessings commenced, oh the love, the intentionality, the tradition. It just became more and more beautiful, with each moment interlocking the next. They were adorned, interlocked, blessed, honored. Witnessed by their people, from quite literally around the world. After the ceremony, they took photos with their families and anyone who attended and wanted to join, a tradition, so beautiful and so different than that which I am used to here in Western Culture. Something I loved so deeply. The couple then spent time by themselves, changing into their Western attire, truly being with one another on their wedding day. We then danced in the setting sun and shortly after they joined all their people yet again, for a night of speeches, dancing, the most scrumptious assortment of Indian and American food, more dancing and more dancing. It was, quite literally, a dream of mine come true. I know, their dream come true. It was a day of being perfect, whole and complete.
