I get it.
Your whole wedding day is important. But, let's be real. There are some moments, more anticipated than others. Some moments, more sacred than others. You know, those moments that come to mind, first, when you start thinking about and planning your wedding day. For this very couple here, one of those moments, was this moment. That of them, fully ready for their wedding day, in the same place, together, being able to feel one another, yet not being able to see one another. Being able to be in exchange on their wedding day, yet still being able to honor seeing one another for the first time walking down the aisle. Gosh, is it sacred. We placed Jason, on the side of the house, just around the corner where neither could and would be seen. One he was placed, he closed his eyes (to try to take away any temptation), then Desirae walked out of the house (they were both getting ready there, just different floors) was placed. In a way that didn't give away her dress. In a way that created just enough space to find one another's hand. That intimate touch, gosh is it so sacred. They touched. They giggled. And they they exchanged cards. Jason read his first, tears streaming down his face. Desirae listening, smiling, letting her tears come just enough so her makeup wasn't removed. Then, it was her turn. Trying with all she had not to cry as she read, yet honoring what the moment called for, both of them in tears. This moment, although very subtle and fleeting, five minutes at the most gave them the most beautiful opportunity to connect, to exchange energy, to be in one another's presence while still honoring their wishes of when to actually see each other. My friend, as you prepare for your wedding day, really honor, pay attention to those moments that come to mind first. They will and do need a little extra time and attention. You will, most definitely be grateful for it.
