What do you want out of our photographic exchange?
After all, this is an exchange.
Do you have a vision?
Do you have a feeling you’re well, feeling?
Is there a certain color that looks best of you?
What part of your personality and style do you want to highlight?
Where do you love being most in this world? Is it possible to be in that very location?
These are some, of the many questions to consider when investing in a photo shoot.
These questions, I wholeheartedly love to hear the responses to.
Photographs are truly an investment. A powerful one at that.
It’s an investment in literally slowing down, documenting and ultimately stopping time, even just for a moment.
This exchange then turns into these immensely powerful time capsules, ones that will live on for not just this lifetime, but generations. This, this is the power of photography that intrigues me, each and every time I pick up my camera.
These moments here, they’re so pure, so fresh, so beautifully peaceful! Before newborn sessions such as this one, I advise mamas how and what to prepare for their session.
What this looks like, is completely in relation, in reflection of them, their present reality.
When I arrived, the amazing mama showed me all the yummy outfits she prepared and walked me through the house. Just what I needed to bring her visions to life during these first days of her little lady being on earth!
In this moment, of taking these very time capsules, time slowed down, innocence and beauty were captured and these moments, will forever be a part of her story, their story, a tangle moment in their fleeting reality.
Gosh, the power of photography literally makes me take a deep breath, each and every time.
