Kaila & Brian : La Jolla Pier Wedding Portraits and Trash-the-Dress

She called.
Her excitement, heightened.
Her enthusiasm, euphoric.
Her communication, that of friends.
Her love, so playfully fun.
Her adventurous spirit, one that I am so very down for.

My goodness, the initial communication points were with that of just the lovely lady you see here, but the day we shared a photographic exchange documenting formal wedding portraits and then heading right into the trash-the-dress, it all came together as I witnessed both of them together.
As we were concluding the wedding portraits, I told them, we would "ease" into the trash-the-dress part, taking it slowly.
I think I lied to them.
Okay, no. I actually lied to them.
As we neared a corner, the coastline as the backdrop, the waves close and personal, I asked them to kiss
and boom, all the sudden, this massive wave was ever so present, encompassing not just them, but me too.
I hunched over my camera, grabbed my phone out of my back pocket, they grabbed each other and we ran to safer grounds.
Ah, it was such a rush.

We dried ourselves off, and my, was that just the beginning.
We made our way back up the beach, playing in the water and ultimately ending right here, nestled under the pier.
The lighting, perfectly timed.
Their excitement, just right.
The waves, cooperating.
These two, the best!
