Melissa & Keith : Anniversary Session : San Clemente, California

A love like this.
My goodness, is it such an honor to capture a love like this.
Melissa and Keith, my dear friends, my soul sister, my family, two of my biggest inspirations.
For years, we've been talking about taking their anniversary photos as they haven't had any professional photos since their wedding.
Oh, how did we quickly change that and in such a magical space at that.
Within the love of these photos, is so much depth, so much sincerity, honesty, admiration, determination and reflection.
These photos, they represent life, the light of life.
They were taken in their soon-to-be home in San Clemente on a sunny Sunday evening where we shared blissful moments while creating time capsules, reminisced about life, the power of the universe, giving, receiving, loving and oh so much more.
Their love, it's truly unique, meant to be spread.

Sharing these photos and the moments within don't feel right without paying tribute.
You see, the lovely woman pictured here shared stories of spending intimate moments with her mom as she was out for a recent visit from Missouri. She had just said goo
dbye as she dropped her at the airport only two days prior. Time, it's a silly concept.
Her mom, the very soul we shared stories and lovely laughed about suddenly passed just a few days after these time capsules were created, leaving this physical world and peacefully drifting into another with all her loved ones by her side.
These moments, they're fleeting, moving ever so quickly.
I share this, for many reasons. To pay tribe to one of the most genuinely loving, caring and sincere mothers I've been blessed to share special moments with. To honor Melissa, the incredibly joyous soul pictured here as your love for life, your commitment to community, to your community and your positive vibration is an inspiration. You are moms pride and in your smile, your voice, your love, she is there. To Keith, for being such a devoted husband and human being and being the best support for your family.
I cherish you all, these moments, pass memories. Your lights now shine together, brighter than before.

Now, as the love between these two souls are shared with the greater community, the light of mom rests within each smile, every laughter, the happy tears of daily life. Of knowing she is here. She is there. She is in all of us.
This is a reminder.
A reminder to stay present. To not take a moment or the person within that moment for grated.
That photographs, the non-verbal communication exchanged within those photographs are even more powerful.
Because, when this universe physically takes a soul, there is this. The euphoric moments of which occurred.
To look back, to reflect, to smile, to say you made a difference in her world. You lit up her life. You told her every single day,
"I love you Mom." And for this, my friend, she is always going to be here. There. In the rainbows and in the sky.
