I excitedly sent an email as I couldn't wait to meet these soon to be husbands in person.
I received a reply.
One infused with a bit of worry, with a positive, but real outlook.
When I read the email, a heaviness overcame my entire being.
You see, these grooms are from and live in Houston.
Their lives, directly, intimately impacted by hurricane Harvey.
It hit.
Oh my goodness.
This is real, so very
real.

Although safe, their lives, their plans being altered,
their elopement, just days away
while the flights kept getting pushed later and later.

As I read the various emails, all I kept repeating was, "Love and light, love and light.
Please send them love and light so they will arrive safely. Love and light."
This, this very intention setting, this very mantra as you will,
carried a vibration, sending a message into the universe.
One of positivity, one of strength, one of protection.

I excitedly opened my email on Thursday morning with the joyous news
that they were safely getting on a plane that evening,
going to make it in time to pick up their marriage license on Friday morning
and most importantly, the two of them, their closest friends and family
would all safely the moments of their elopement.

Their love for one another was so calmly blissful.
Their excitement to be husbands, radiated across their faces.
The honor of documenting this monumental time in their lives
leaves me with infinite gratitude, infinite joy.
It now serves as another reminder of the power of the universe and its influence on our very existence. What's meant to be, will be!

Congratulations Neil and Joe!
It was beyond an honor witnessing and documenting the magic you two are! ⠀
