When I arrive to meet the bride, I am always in awe. Awe in her natural beauty. Awe of her giddiness, her excitement, her visual euphoria. Awe of her dress, the shoes and all her accompanying details. Awe of the sincere women that surround her. Awe of the smile that is present when getting into her dress and seeing it all come together on her wedding day. Awe of the love that shines within her eyes. This awe, my goodness, does it progress as I get to see her witness her husband for the first time that very day. Sometimes it's a first look, many times it's walking down the aisle. Either way, the blissfulness, the giddiness, the love is just radiant. Some of my all time favorite moments to document are those know as romantic portraits. The moments when two newly married souls, husband and wife get it be in one another's presence, kiss, touch. I literally shoot until they have had enough! And my goodness, these two couldn't have been more excitement to emerge themselves in sweet kisses and sincere moments overlooking the cliffs of La Jolla while the sun slowly set!
