Photography has a way of making itself available in all aspects of life. While living in San Jose, Costa Rica I had the honor of teaching students and more so becoming a part of their lives. Just a month before I left, one of my students asked if I would be interested in doing family photographs AND portraits for her 40th birthday! Without hesitation, I said, "We have to!" Within a few days, the date was booked, the location was set and time capsules were in store for being documented. My last Sunday in Costa Rica was spent with Wendy and her incredibly welcoming and friendly family. We drove a couple hours from San Jose towards Jaco Beach, finding ourselves at Los Suenos Marriott - Ocean & Golf Resort. This resort served as the dynamic background for their family photo session, ending of course, with Wendy's 40th photo session! Each photo and moment within the photo was encapsulated by the love of Wendy and her whole family sharing the joys of being together and welcoming the newest member to the family. Thank you so much for this incredible opportunity, for spending the day with you and your family and for feeling as if not the photographer, but more of a family member.
